Urological Associates is committed to providing quality, state of the art, and cost effective urological treatment throughout Southern Arizona.

Our Practice Philosophy

Our primary concern is the health and well being of our patients.

We deliver confidential, personalized and compassionate care while treating each patient with dignity and respect.

We encourage each patient to be an active participant in his or her care. We welcome questions, outline healthcare options, and provide detailed explanations to help guide patients in making the best treatment decisions for their care.

We consider ourselves physicians first and value the trust placed in us by our patients referring physicians. Our clinical decisions will not be swayed by economic incentives. Unlike other practices, we often assist each other in surgery to provide patients with the benefit of two qualified urologists while they are under anesthesia.

We limit our practice to the specialty of urology and encourage our patients to obtain their general medical care from their primary physician. We communicate often to keep our referring physicians informed about a patient’s progress.

We set the standard for urological care in Southern Arizona. All of our doctors participate in continuing medical education, residency training and clinical research opportunities. We explore new treatments thoroughly to ensure their efficacy and safety before offering them to our patients. We strive to provide the best urological care available.

Urological Associates of Southern Arizona Welcomes Two Physicians 

Dr. Tristan Berry

Dr. Berry is Fellowship trained in Endourology/Laparoscopy and Robotic surgery. His practice includes all aspects of adult and pediatric urology with particular interest in prostate cancer and kidney cancer.

Dr. Richard Ashley

Dr. Ashley is currently the only Fellowship trained Pediatric Urologist in Southern Arizona. Although his practice does include all aspects of both adult and pediatric urology, pediatric clinical and surgical issues are his main focus.

MANAGED CARE OPTIONS
Urological Associates of Southern Arizona, P.C. (UASA) is familiar with the commitment to Managed Care. UASA has responded favorably in this managed care environment by increasing efficiencies and maintaining the highest level of quality in patient health care. For example, we have a wide-area computer network that enables us to schedule company-wide, process billing efficiently, and process claims via EDI. UASA currently has capitated contracts with United Health, CIGNA, and Pacificare, and has consistently delivered excellent services to these patient populations. Throughout the life of these contracts UASA has consistently received high patient satisfaction results, as well as praise from the payors in the community.

IMPLEMENTED PROCESSES TO INCREASE OUR EFFECTIVENESS IN A MANAGED CARE ENVIRONMENT
Urological Associates of Southern Arizona, P.C. attempts to make every possible effort to increase efficiency while maintaining the highest possible standards of healthcare. UASA provides a complete interaction and communication level between all physicians in reference to patient care, and effective communication between all physicians. UASA provides patient satisfaction surveys to every patient seen at UASA and attempts to respond to each patient's specific needs. UASA recognizes that the healthcare environment is rapidly changing, and is in a constant review process of new technologies or processes that facilitate efficiency. For example, we have recently finished implementing a computer linkup with Coming Laboratories to expedite delivery of laboratory results. In an attempt to further proliferate healthcare education, we are in the process of reviewing electronic medical records programs.

Pharmacy and Prescriptions
When you are running low on your prescription please call your pharmacist and have him contact our office during regular working hours to insure prompt service on refills. Please call the pharmacy in advance to avoid running out during weekends or holidays.

Lab and X-Ray Results
Results of laboratory and X-ray studies will be called to you as soon as possible. A delay of three days is to be expected.

Fees and Insurance
We contract with several HMO and PPO organizations. These organizations and contracts are always changing. Please be certain we are able to provide your urologic care. If a referral is needed, be certain you have one that is current.

We accept Medicare and will assist you by filing your Medicare claims for you.

Most plans require services such as lab tests or X-rays be obtained at certain sites. We will assist you in meeting your plan's requirements.

We expect payment for office services at the time of your visit. Mastercard and Visa are accepted.
